We've set a World Record!

We have a World Record! The Youngest Pilot with Fewest Hours to Solo!

Cypress College Flight Training sends some of the most successful pilots out into the skies! CCFT uses state-of-the-art flight simulators combined with our unique leading edge curriculum to train our students. Our flight training devices lower the cost of becoming a licensed pilot, improve safety, prepare students for FAA examinations, and provide high quality training for student pilots. Cypress College has innovative flight-training that can reduce the cost of becoming a pilot, as well as the time it takes to become one. We accomplish this by quality classroom instruction, and allowing students to utilize our simulators to reinforce material learned in their ground school lessons. Flight students can use them to practice for actual flight training. Our students are passing their flight exams at the minimum required hours, and some students are even breaking records!

"On July 19, Shaikhsorab completed his first independent flight with only 16.4 hours of flying time under his belt.

Guinness World Records confirmed that Shaikhsorab has submitted an application, and it is under review by their records management team. There is no current record holder with this title, a spokesperson said. Shaikhsorab, who is from Orange County, Calif., came to Langley to earn his student pilot permit earlier this year in order to fast track the process. In the United States, student pilots must be at least 16 years of age, but in Canada the age requirement is 14.

He became obsessed with flying after enrolling in an aviation program at Cypress College in California last year."
